Jammu University Distance Education IST Semester Admission 2023-24 Last Date, Application Form

Under Graduate Programme (B.A and B.Com Semester-I) Pursuant to the recent UGC-DEB guidelines, pertaining to Admission Calendar for the Session 2023-24, online applications as per the prescribed format are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to the Under Graduate Programmes i.e B.A and B.Com Sem-I, to be offered in ODL mode, through the Directorate of Distance & Online Education, University of Jammu and its Learner Support Centers established at Govt. Degree Colleges of Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri and Bhaderwah. Interested candidates can fill up the online application form through the Website www.distanceeducationju.in .

IMPORTANT DATES

Admission Schedule I. Submission of on-line forms (Without Late Fee) 31-07-2023 to 20-08-2023
With late fee of Rs. 350/- from 21-08-2023 to 28-08-2023
With late fee of Rs. 3200/- from*** 29-08-2023 to 04-09-2023

NOTE :-

Submission of Hard copy within two days from the date of filling up the form.
The Competent Authority may consider grant of late admission after the expiry of last date as above, on a payment of Rs. 3200/- as late fee.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2) examination of the J&K Board of School Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the University of Jammu, shall be eligible for admission to Three –Year Degree (General) Programme Semester- Ist. However, those who have cleared their said examination from Board other than J&K Board will have to submit Migration Certificate (in original) along with duly filled in eligibility form with prescribed fee as applicable, and an Affidavit as given in Annexure-I.
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2) examination in Commerce subjects from the J&K Board of School Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto in any stream (Other than Commerce) obtaining not less than 45% marks in the aggregate shall also be eligible for admission to the B.Com Degree (General) Programme Semester-1. However, those who have cleared their said examination from Board other than J&K Board will have to submit Migration Certificate (in original) along with the eligibility form duly filled in and an Affidavit as given in Annexure-I.
In case of candidates having a ‘gap’ of more than one year, the applicant must attach a Notary Certified Affidavit for Gap period. The specimen has been given as Annexure-II.
The hard copy of the online admission form must be submitted BY HAND in the respective offices (Ground Floor ) i.e Room No. 8 for B.A and Room No. 5 for B.Com, along with all relevant documents i.e Original Fee Receipt, Migration/ Transfer Certificates/ Provisional Certificate/ NOC /Affidavit/ undertaking, as applicable.

The LAST DATE for submission of hard copy is 06-09-2023.

Note:
I. Merely filling up of online application form shall not entitle the candidate for admission.
II. Submission of duly signed hard copy of the admission form is mandatory.
III. The responsibility of non-submission of hard copy shall solely be with the candidate.
IV. The last date for submission of Hard Copy is 06-09-2023. The candidates are strongly advised to submit the Hard copy by 06-09-2023.
V. No request for submission of hardcopy shall be entertained after 06-09-2023.
VI. No request for reopening of Online Portal shall be entertained after the last date of admission as per schedule notified herein.
